Jane Pollan

Mrs. Jane Catherine Smart Pollan, 86, of Scobey, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026. She was born July 17, 1939, in Grenada to Samuel Wallace Smart and Florence Hankins Smart.

A devoted homemaker, Jane worked diligently throughout her life to make her house a home. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished the time spent with her family. Jane was a faithful member of Wayside Baptist Church, where her quiet devotion and steady presence were a blessing to many.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Wayside Cemetery, with Rev. Truman Scarborough officiating.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Fly (Jeff) of Grenada; her son, Roger Pollan of Scobey; her brother, Wendell Smart of Grenada; six grandchildren, Amber Pollan (Jonathan Stafford), Austin Pollan (Lynne), Kayleen Powell (Tanner), Katie Morgan (Hunter), Karlee Pollan, and Walker Pollan; and seven great-grandchildren, Connor Stafford, Corbin Stafford, Hank Morgan, Bobbi Claire Powell, Harper Morgan, Bankston Powell, and Ellie Stafford.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freddie Pollan; and her brothers, David Smart and Robbie Smart.
