YOUNGSTOWN - Jane S. Radovich, 78, of Youngstown’s west side, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, Feb. 28, 2026 at Hospice House in Poland.
Jane was born March 28, 1947, in post-World War II Germany, a daughter of Felix and Eudokia Luczak. At the age of 4, her family immigrated to the United States, entering through Ellis Island, and chose to make their home in Youngstown to pursue job opportunities and join extended family members.
She was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and later the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. After graduating with her registered nurse certificate, Jane began a 30-year career at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, where she worked in maternity care, assisting newborns and their mothers. She retired in 1998.
In 1970 she married the love of her life, Thomas J. Radovich, Sr. Together they raised three sons, Thomas Jr., Michael, and John, and shared 28 years of marriage until his passing in 1998.
Jane enjoyed baking with her mother, reading novels, shopping, and watching British television shows. Most of all, she enjoyed being a mother to her boys and watching them grow up. Eager to answer their questions and provide common sense advice - usually peppered with her ever-present sarcasm.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Radovich Sr.; her sister, Barbara Green, who passed away in 2024; her brother-in-law, John; her sister-in-law, Karen; and her brother-in-law, Ed.
Jane leaves to forever cherish her memory her three sons, Thomas Radovich Jr. of Boardman, Michael (Rebecca) Radovich of Savannah, Georgia, and John Radovich, with whom she shared her home; her youngest sister, Elizabeth Hans of Austintown; her sister-in-law, Patty Radovich of Girard; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 248 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Jane’s caregivers, Brenda and Philomena, for their love and support over the past several years. They also thank the staff of Hospice House in Poland and Mercy Health – Boardman for the compassionate care shown to their mother.
