Jane Sebok

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jane Sebok, 70, of Hawthorne NJ on July 4, 2023, after a brief illness. She will be lovingly missed by her brothers Robert Sebok, sister-in-law Dawn, Bill Sebok, sister-in-law Kathy, John Sebok, sister-in-law Carol, nieces and nephew Micheala, Daniel, and Jennifer Sebok, and numerous family and friends. Jane was predeceased by her mother Dorothy and father Louis.
For many years, Jane worked at Deloitte in Human Resources before retiring at 65. More recently, she worked at the YMCA in Wyckoff as an assistant in the infant and toddler daycare rooms. She touched so many lives with her calm presence and thoughtful engagement, and she will be deeply missed by all.
Jane was a thoughtful and kindhearted woman who always gave freely of herself to others. She was a devoted sister, friend, aunt, and even honorary "aunt" to so many people. She always dedicated her time, full attention, and love to those around her. She had a warm smile, a contagious laugh, and a willingness to roll up her sleeves and help out anyone in any situation. Jane always had a positive attitude and a warmth that radiated to everyone she knew. Her memory and compassion will live on through her family and friends who love and miss her tremendously.
The Sebok family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings on the Hudson, NY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jane's memory to St. Elizabeth's RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
