Jane M. Sweet, 94, of Gloversville, New York, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024 at Fulton Center, surrounded by her family. Jane was born on September 12, 1930 in Gloversville to the late Harry and Madeline (Bixby) Lynch.
Jane was united in Holy matrimony to Donald H. Sweet in 1954. The couple shared 52 wonderful years together, until his passing in 2006.
For many years Jane worked as a glove inspector at Gates Mills in Johnstown. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Gloversville, until its closing.
Over the past three years Jane had been a resident at the Fulton Center in Gloversville, and she enjoyed spending her time playing word finds and conversing with her room mate and dear friend, Dolores.
Her loving family includes her siblings, Anna Groves and Edward Watson, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, Harry and Madeline, and her husband, Donald, Jane is also preceded in passing by her siblings, John "Jack" Lynch, Betty Davis, James Lynch, Doris Paul, Mary Blood, Thomas Watson, and Florence Hapogian.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 11:00AM with Fr. Matthew Wetsel presiding. Interment will be held at a later date in Perth Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with Donald. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jane's memory to a charity of one's choosing. Please visit Jane's guestbook online at www.brbsfuneral.com
