Nicholas Arcomano, 96, died on Saturday, August 16, 2025 in New York City, his home for the past 70 years.

He was born on November 6, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, son of Rocco and Mollie (Peris) Arcomano. At the age of two, his family moved to Gloversville, New York.

He was a graduate of Fordham University and Albany Law School and had a distinguished career as a copyright attorney in the entertainment industry.

On October 7, 1961, he married the love of his life, Cathryn Buckley Arcomano, an international artist, at the Lady of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City.

He was a vociferous reader who enjoyed travel (especially to Venice, Italy), art, listening to classical music and following tennis. He had a stellar memory and a genuine curiosity and care about people and the world around him.

Nicholas was predeceased by his parents, beloved wife, Cathryn, his sister, Marion Texier, and his niece, Danielle Texier. He is survived by three nephews in Maryland, Matthew Texier (Tina), Shawn Texier, and Erik Texier (Joyce), great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and dear friends in the U.S. and abroad who will dearly miss his sharp intellect and wit, genuine kindness, innate generosity and overall goodness.

He will be celebrated and honored at a Mass of Christian Burial at The Church of the Holy Spirit in Gloversville on Monday, August 25th at 10:00am with the Fr. Juanito Asprec as celebrant and will be laid to rest in his family plot in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Johnstown, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 9:00am to 10:00am one hour prior to the mass at the church. In the Fall, he will be remembered at a Memorial mass in New York City.

Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant House, 461 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY 10001, Meals On Wheels, 355 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10017 or the charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, New York.

Dear Mr. Arcamono,
Thank you for the years I have known you. They will live in my memory for all time. I was blessed to know you and Cathryn. You were more than someone I worked for. You were my friend and family. I will miss you every day doing little jobs for you, like hanging pictures and having chats. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I will miss you dearly. 6C will not be the same without you. Thank you for the 20+ years we had together. I know you and Cathryn are watching down on me. All my love, Walter

Uncle Nick was very dear to this "kid cousin". He shared my father´s name and became a surrogate for all of my dear Arcomano relatives of his generation - the last man standing as one might say. His memory and intelligence made for many fond visits and phone calls. He paved the way for my families visits to Venice with his connections. He shared Cathy´s art lovingly and I enjoy seeing those pieces daily in Colorado and Florida. My future visits to NYC will have a notable void. He had a long and rich life that I am grateful to have been a part of. I know he is overjoyed to be reunited with Cathy and all who are waiting with open arms for him in heaven
