Janell Amy Houston, age 49 of South Haven, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. She was born in Buffalo, MN, on May 22, 1974, the daughter of Robert and Irene (Robideau) Houston.
Janell was raised in Monticello and graduated from Monticello High School. She enjoyed music and concerts, gardening, boating and sunbathing on the boat, and shopping. She also enjoyed being around her family and friends and she absolutely loved her pets.
She had a happy and bubbly personality and her boisterous laugh was contagious. She was always there for everyone, and truly wanted to get to know who you were. She generously cared for others throughout her life, giving the biggest gift she ever could by being an organ donor.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Houston; and grandparents.
Janell will be deeply missed by her mother, Irene Houston; daughter, Samaira (Jon) Cloke; granddaughter, Kinsley Cloke; beloved cat, Tinker Bell; siblings, Jeff (Laura) Houston, Jennifer (Nate) Clark; aunts and uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 12:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM, at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 East Broadway Street, Monticello, MN. A luncheon will follow from 1:15 PM to 3:15 PM at Kindred Hearts Event Center, 1549 Broadway Street East, Monticello.
