Services for Janelle S. Greier, 69, of Lewisville, MN, will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. A private family burial will be held in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Lewisville, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Janelle passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Goldfinch Estates Memory Care in Fairmont, MN. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Janelle Sharie Greier was born on November 12, 1954, in Fairmont, MN, the daughter of Leroy and Ruth (Maloney) Greier. She attended school in Lewisville through the 6th grade and then attended school in Truman where she graduated from Truman High School.
Following her graduation, Janelle then began her career working for the court administrator's office where she worked in both Watonwan County and Martin County. After a 42 years career, Janelle retired in 2015.
Family was very important to Janelle and her nieces and nephews meant the world to her. Her love of family and knowing about them led to her passion for genealogy following her retirement. Janelle enjoyed quiet time spent working on cross stitching projects that she often made as gifts for family and friends. She looked forward to weekends spent attending auctions and searching for antiques as well as angels and Red Wing crocks to decorate her home with. Janelle found great joy and peace in enjoying the quiet moments in life. She will be greatly missed by those that loved her and called her a friend.
Left to cherish her memory is her special friend, Kenny Schwanz; siblings, Kiyla (Dennis) Schwarz, Keith (Allison) Greier, Kevin (Janae) Greier, Mardell (Randy) Timm, Carol (Larry) Klimek, and Kathy Else; nieces and nephews, Kaleb, Leah, Romy, Bailey, Macy, Chandler, Rachael, Quintin, Madi, Andy, Gabby, Aarin, Stacey, Travis, Chase, Payton, Travis, Dylan, Emma, Grayson, Larken, Jacob, Kelby, Tenley, Cohen, Krysta, Kim, Wade, Ryan, Alisha, Kyle, Josh, and Karyn; as well as many other extended family and friends.
Janelle was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Ruth Greier; grandparents, Fred and Lillian Greier and James and Rose Maloney; and two nephews, Kory Else and Matthew Klimek.
