Funeral Service for Michael "Mike" N. Larson, age 66, of Fairmont, MN, will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont with interment in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. Mike passed away on Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025, at his home in Fairmont. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Michael Norman Larson was born on July 21, 1959, in Fairmont, MN. He was the son of Cleo and Dianne (Schott) Larson. Mike attended Fairmont public schools and graduated from Fairmont High School.

On December 9, 1978, Mike was united in marriage to Julie Jones at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont. The couple resided in Fairmont and were blessed with two children, Blair and Dustin. Mike and Julie shared over forty-six years together.

Mike worked for twenty-three years at Railway Motors in Fairmont as well as working as an assembler at Ametek in Jackson until his retirement on December 31, 2021. During his free time, Mike enjoyed mowing his lawn and cooking and was known to fix up some breakfast to deliver to Julie at work. Mike and Julie also enjoyed riding their e-bikes around town as well as travelling the U.S. or experiencing the thrill of a visit to a casino. He loved spending time with his grandchildren whether it be out for bike rides or a trip to the gym with them. Mike especially enjoyed spoiling his canine companion, Ceasar, often even sharing an omelette together. Ceasar seemed to prefer an omelette from Mike but no one else. They just don't make them like Mike did! Mike always made an impression wherever he went and his voice would carry through a crowd. You always knew where Mike stood on things as he wasn't afraid to speak his mind. His tough exterior always gave way to a softer side whenever he had a chance to talk your ear off; often quickly making new friends wherever he went.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Julie Larson of Fairmont, MN; daughter, Blair (Nathan) Heusdens of Hastings, MN; son, Dustin (Ashley) Larson of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Wesley Heusdens, Dakota Heusdens, Garrett Larson, Gavin Larson, and George Larson; sisters, Sue (Dennis) Graphenteen of Slayton, MN, Lori (Duane) Ufkin of Byron, MN, Dee Bonnicksen of Northrop, MN, and Cara (Lon) Tesdahl of Eyota, MN; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Along with his parents, Cleo and Dianne Larson, Mike was preceded in death by his niece, Emily Ufkin; nephew, Matthew Bonnicksen; brother-in-law, Terry Bonnicksen; and parents-in-law, Lee and Antoinette Jones.
