Janessa E. Bogdanovich, 27, of Palmyra passed away peacefully at the Hershey Medical Center with family by her side on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. She was born to Bill Zahorchak and the late Tricia Sitler. She is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Bogdanovich.
Janessa was a true light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She embraced life with a joyful spirit, a kind heart, and a genuine desire to help others. Her compassion continued even beyond her time here, as she gave the incredible gift of life to others through organ donation, one final act of love that perfectly reflected the way she lived.
She cherished every moment spent with her friends and family, creating memories filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering support. Janessa was an active member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, where her strong and steady faith guided her daily life. Her gentle presence, selflessness, and love for others will forever be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her brother, Zachary Geist and wife Alyssa; niece and nephews, Addalyn, Caleb, and Blake Geist; uncle Rich; aunts, Tina and Wendy; maternal grandmother, Joyce Sitler; paternal grandmother, Linda Zahorchak; parents-in-law Ken and Mary Bogdanovich; siblings-in law, Kyle and wife Julia, Sarah, Erin, and Alana Bogdanovich; and best friend Kayla Beistline and her family.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 at 11 AM at the Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Rd., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of viewing will be held from 10 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at the Gravel Hill Cemetery. An additional time of viewing will be held on Monday, December 1st from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Pamyra, PA 17078.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Toys for Tots, www.toysfortots.org
