In April 20, 1956, she and her husband, Richard Laque Ammons were married in Sedro-Woolley and began their long life together which first took them to Skagit Valley, Seattle, Kent and back to Skagit Valley.

She had an infectious laugh that we will never forget. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking and reading, as well as many outdoor activities, including camping, fishing and waterskiing. For many years, she enjoyed participating with her friends in their high school class reunion in Sedro-Woolley. Janet also loved to travel, visiting sites in the United States , and enjoying trips and cruises to Mexico, Caribbean and Philippines. Janet was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She raised three sons and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on birthdays and at Christmas.
