Janet Martha Arlinghaus (nee Trauth), passed away on September 1, 2024 at Carmel Manor Nursing Home in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
Janet was born in Newport, Kentucky on February 25, 1935 to Frank and Helen (Beck) Trauth
Janet was an excellent seamstress and she made all of Cindy's dance outfits and clothes & afghans for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Kentucky basketball, the Reds and she loved vacationing in St. Augustine, Florida. Janet also enjoyed country music and attending concerts with her children. She attended her last concert last August at Riverbend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Bernard Arlinghaus, siblings Richard Trauth, Virigina Wolfe and a grandchild Lindsey Myers.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Kevin) Donelan, her sons John (Debbie) Arlinghaus and Christopher (Susan) Arlinghaus, sister in law Rita Arlinghaus, grandchildren Tom Myers, Mallory (Jack) Hemmer, Jacob Myers, great-grandchildren Charlotte Hemmer, Elijah Hemmer and Blayke Berry.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, Saturday, September 7, 2024 at St. Thomas Church in Fort Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am Saturday.
Burial will take place in the St. Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
Memorials are suggested to the Wood Hudson Cancer Research 931 Isabella Street Newport, KY 41071, St. Thomas Church 26 East Villa Place Fort Thomas, Kentucky 41075.
