Janet Asher Obituary
Jeanette "Janet" Caroylin Asher, age 83, of Florissant, formerly of Park Hills, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis. Janet was born on Sunday, December 22, 1940, in Flat River, to the late Robert “Bob” and Wilma (Tripp) Sitzes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Lee Asher; son, Phillip Robert Asher; daughter, Debbie Asher.
Janet was of Baptist faith and a devoted homemaker. In her pastime, she enjoyed playing bingo with her sister, Jane. She loved cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Hobart Asher and Joann Asher; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Currington and Ida Penberthy; brother, Donald Sitzes; sisters-in-law, Mary Pendley and Betty Melow along with other friends and family.
Visitation will be held at C.Z Boyer & Son Funeral Home-Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills, Friday, July 5, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Michael Barton to officiate. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.
