Janet Ruth Auton, 69, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Batesville, AR. She was born on June 21, 1955, in Batesville, AR, to the late Charlie Melton Barnett and Elizabeth (Miliam) Barnett. Janet was a gypsy soul, who did not like to sit still and was always traveling and seeing the world. She was an outdoor enthusiast and often could be found on a creek bank. She was also very musically talented and enjoyed singing and picking the guitar.
Janet is survived by her sons, David Johnson, Daniel Auton, Liam Auton, and Michael Auton; daughters, Rebecca Coleman (Stevie), Jamie Johnson, and Maggie Johnson; grandchildren, Matthew Marshall, Joshua Marshall, Katelyn Marshall, Jade Johnson, Christy Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, Daniel Auton (Toni Dodd), Beckham Auton, and Taylor Auton; great-grandchildren, Callie Marshall, Avia Marshall, Coleson Marshall, Johnathan Marshall, Carter Marshall, Khamari Marshall, Kameron Marshall, Syven Branch, Evelyn Johnson, Josie Johnson, and Mya Johnson; and sisters, Sherry Gillmore, Donna French, Catherine Herrington, and Tina Barnett. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, David Lee Barnett, Billy Ray Barnett, Ronnie Barnett, Drexel Barnett, and Gerald Wayne Barnett; niece, Kimberley Downs; and beloved friends, Erin Gilbert-Gorham and Teresa Cook.
