Janet Louise Basham

Janet Louise Basham, 37, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 15, 1986, to Regina Logsdon and the late Paul Logsdon in Louisville, Kentucky. Family was at the core of Janet's being, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. A true daddy's girl, she shared a special bond with her late father, Paul. Janet's infectious laughter and great sense of humor were the cornerstones of her vibrant personality. She had an innate ability to bring joy into the lives of those around her, making her a beloved presence in any room. Janet's outgoing spirit knew no bounds, and she never met a stranger. While she found comfort in being a bit of a homebody, she also enjoyed the serenity of the countryside and indulging in her passion for cooking. In her leisure time, she delighted in playing bingo, immersing herself in the tunes of Guns N Roses and Stevie Nicks, and savoring her favorite treats – coffee, ice cream, Mountain Dew, and hot Cheetos puffs. Her simple joys were a testament to her appreciation for life's pleasures, whether it was a quiet moment with a cigarette in hand or the laughter shared with friends. Janet's warmth, kindness, and love will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her father, Paul Logsdon, Janet is preceded in death by a brother, Steven Logsdon.
Left to cherish her memory, Janet is survived by 5 children, Bailey Jo Basham, Peco Mitchell (Stephane), Jordyn Basham, Emily Basham, and Aaron Basham; mother, Regina Logsdon; 2 brothers, William Glenn Logsdon, and Darrell Joseph Logsdon, sister Carrie Logsdon; 1 grandchild, Thomas Edward George IV; 8 nieces/nephews, Kelly K. Logsdon, Carmine Logsdon, Carmella Logsdon, Emily Auter, Eli Logsdon, Derrick Logsdon, Khloe Logsdon, and Geno Logsdon; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
