She was born in Terre Hill, the daughter of Augustus and Mary (Wise) Shirk and was the wife of Wiliam F. Becker Sr. with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.
She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Terre Hill. She enjoyed visiting Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area with her husband, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by 3 sons, William F. Becker, Jr., husband of Donna, Robert L. Becker, husband of Susan, and Brent Becker; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Eidemiller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Elam Shirk.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Janet's memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604 or Ephrata Manor Caring Fund, 99 Bethany Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Ephrata Manor for the care that Janet received.
