She was born in Manheim to the late Elam and Anna (Witmer) Sherer and was the wife of the late R. Samuel Keens, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
She was a member of Millport Mennonite Church, Leola. During her working years, Anna Ruth worked with her husband, farming their land. They also owned Keens Services for many years.
Anna Ruth is survived by five children, Ed (Judy), Bill (Linda), Leroy (Tracy), Ruth Ann, Bob (Heather); 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Jean Kraybill.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Garry Keens and a brother, Witmer Sherer.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 3 PM, at Millport Mennonite Church, 820 Log Cabin Road, Leola, with Pastor Joe Sherer officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Anna Ruth's memory may be made to Landis Homes Caring Fund, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
