Memories of Janet make me smile. Janet was a great neighbor and friend. I was glad she invited me to Pasadena Community Church with her; I was still working and only coming down to Treasure Island every other weekend so I had not taken the time to find a church down there. Often I stopped by her door just to say hi and ended up going in to sit and talk. I loved her independence. I'll never forget her wanting to get up on the ladder I brought over to clean off the top of her hurricane shutter, this was probably only 5 years ago, definitely less than 10. I convinced her to let me get up there and get her to hand me things. We were cleaning up after crows and putting things up to keep them off the balcony. When we were done, she insisted on coming over and helping me do ours too. I loved our talks. I find comfort in memories and hope the family will too. I know she loved you all.
