Janet Margo Bohan

Janet "Twillibee" Bohan, 89, of Palatine, IL, passed away on December 31st in Algonquin, IL. Born on August 5, 1936, in Chicago, IL, Janet lived a life filled with creativity, devotion, and joy.

She was the loving mother of Jody Schulz, Tracy (Christopher) Pascente, James A. Bohan, John (Lisa) Bohan, and Michael (Chanel) Bohan. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Ryan, Kevin, Kylie, Carson, Quinn, Morgan, Jacob, Hannah, Nicholas, Holland, Jamison, Griffin, and Contessa. Jan was the cherished sister of John Sasenick and Mary Eileen Gladish.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James, her father John, her mother Eileen, her sister-in-law Carrie Sasenick, and her beloved grandson Griffin Bohan.

Jan was aunt to several nieces and nephews and friend to many. Known to countless people as "Twillibee," she brought laughter and light as an enthusiastic member of the Midwest Clown Association, where she was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991 and honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019. She was also an avid gardener and a faithful companion to her husband on their many travels around the world.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 9:30-10:15 AM at Holy Family Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at St. John Nepomucene Cemetery in Barrington Hills, with a lunch reception to follow.
