Janet Bowstring Obituary
Janet Kim Budd Bowstring, 64, of Fayetteville, NC went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 19, 1960 in Lumberton, NC. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lorena Budd of Robeson County. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Star Susan Budd.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Dale Bowstring, her children: Steven Ronald Smith (Holly) of Ardmore TN, Carrie Elisabeth Bechard (Will) of Prattville AL, and Rebekah Loren Williams (Jon) of Cameron NC. Kim has 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers: Randall Budd of St. Pauls and Tommy Budd (Pam) of Fayetteville. Her surviving sisters are: Judy Brisson (Harvey) of Huntsville AL, Kay Budd of St. Pauls NC, and Debbie Cain (Johnny) of Fayetteville NC. She has numerous nieces and nephews.
Kim had a love for flowers and discovering gemstones. She enjoyed being in her flower garden and outdoors in general. Her true passion was living a Christian life and serving the Lord. Her heart’s desire was that her life would be a testimony to others. Her home was always open and she was an outgoing friend to everyone. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
