Janet Katheryn "Kitty" Bristow

CONWAY, NC - Janet Katheryn "Kitty" Hunt Bristow, age 82, of Dusty Hill Road, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 28, 2026, at Hampton Manor in Gaston, Northampton County, North Carolina. Born on August 1, 1943, in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, she was the cherished daughter of the late Alonzo Allen Hunt and Olivia Ruth Jeffreys Hunt.

Kitty found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially being at home surrounded by her loving family. Gardening was a beloved pastime of Kitty's, and she often spent serene hours admiring the hummingbirds in her garden.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Tim Bristow of the home; her two sons, Chuck Joyner of Conway, NC, and Jason Bristow of Greenville, NC; and her precious granddaughters, Sarah West of Roanoke Rapids, Allison Joyner of Conway, and Ashley Parker of Roanoke Rapids. Also surviving are her sister, Becky Askew and her husband, Wayne, of Lake Gaston, NC, as well as her special niece, Lori Askew of Weldon, NC, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends who will remember her fondly.

In celebration of Kitty's life, a graveside service will be held at the Bristow Home on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Pastor Ricky Barnes will offer his comforting words as they honor Kitty's memory.
