Janet Moore Callis, age 71, a lifelong resident of Brunswick County, VA, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Christine Moore.
Janet worked in the secretarial field at Butler Lumber Company and at GEO-LVCC. She was a lifelong member of Matthews Chapel.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, David Callis; two daughters, Linda Callis and Joan Scott and husband, Norman; two grandchildren, Curtis and Indianna Scott, as well as a large extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. The family will receive friends and family following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lawrenceville UMC Food Pantry, P.O. Box 2, Lawrenceville, VA 23868.
