Janet Carolyn Cargil, born on January 30, 1943, in Charleston, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose spirit and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.
Janet's journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Cargil, and their children: Rebecca Ann Cargil, Renee Schulte, Ronald Jr. "Sandy" Cargil, Randell Correy (Debbi Cargil), and Rhonda Cargil. Janet was a proud grandmother to an extensive family of grandchildren, including Andrew Tenney, Adam Tenney, Aaron Tenney, Harmony Schulte, Shelby Collins, Sarah Nagy, Ryan Nagy, Michael Cargil, Cristy Cargil, Mary Cargil, Cathrine Cargil, Holly Nearbose and Kory Cargil. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Mason Orr, Aaliyah Castro, Khloe Eberhardt, Cyrus Sides, Ella Cargil, Macey Cargil and Soraya Cargil, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Janet's early years were shaped by her parents, Dave and Lucille Jaques, who instilled in her the values of kindness and perseverance. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dave, Eugene and Robert Jaques, grandchildren Rachael Nagy and Avery Bryant, who held a special place in her heart.
Through the years, Janet made countless memories with her family, always cherishing the time spent together. She was known for her generous spirit, compassion, and an infectious smile that could light up any room. As a sister to Thomas Jaques, Janet shared a bond that will be remembered fondly by those left behind.
In her passing, Janet leaves a profound impact that will continue to inspire her family. Her love will forever echo in the hearts of those she cherished, and her memory will remain a source of comfort and strength in the years to come. She will be deeply missed but always remembered fondly by her family and friends.
