Paul Sobolewski Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 26, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Sobolewski, age 81, who died peacefully on July 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul faced his diagnosis with courage, grace, and dignity, winning his battle once with cancer and never losing his sense of humor or the deep love he had for his family.
Paul was born on February 2, 1944, in Boston, MA, and lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and quiet strength. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend.
Paul is predeceased by his son Eric and his parents Ruth and Edwin Sobolewski. He is survived by his beloved wife,Terry; his daughter, Karen Austin; and his cherished grandchildren, Amanda Brousseau and Kyle Austin. He had loving times spent with his great grandchildren Kala, Winter, Genevieve, and Vincent. Paul was also survived by his step children Jennifer Lefrancois and her spouse Keith; Colleen DeGowin and her spouse Daryl; Christopher Sullivan and his wife Lynn; Timothy Sullivan. He made fond memories with his step grandchildren and step great grandchildren fishing and playing at the pond. He is also remembered fondly by his many friends.
A man of many talents and passions, Paul worked as an auto body shop business owner, where he was respected for his integrity and dedication. He found joy in his love of the outdoors, where he spent his free time hunting, fishing and clamming. Paul was proud to have been named a World Champion skeet shooter and was a member of the East Warren Gun Club. He also enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams The New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Paul was honored to have been a Master Mason of the FreeMasons for 58 years. He held this honor with pride, sense of community and brotherhoodship. The volunteer work the brotherhood accomplished over the years filled his heart.
His strength of character, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. A celebration of his life will be held in the fall in his home state of Massachusetts. All who knew and loved Paul are welcome to attend and share memories.
