William "Bear" Burrell Sobolewski, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2025 at Franciscan Health Michigan City. He was born on February 8, 1968, in Michigan City, IN to William Sobolewski Jr. and Dawn Everetts-Jones. William leaves behind his father, William A. Sobolewski; brothers, Shawn Sobolewski, Chad Sobolewski, and Noah (Carrie) Sobolewski; children, William Andrew Morrow-Sobolewski and Coty (Brooke) Sobolewski; grandchildren, Natalie, Lily, Levi, Liylah, and Lake, Madison; aunt Susan (Larry) Pozdol; uncle Mike Sobolewski and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and 2 brothers-in-law. William is also survived by many special friends he considered extended family, Larry Kelly, Robert Cross, Randy (Beth) Childress, Eddie Carapion, Jennifer Morrow, Lori (Terry) Verboom, Mark Renicker, Kaylin (Todd) Reynolds, Brenda Reynolds and many, many more. On August 25, 2007 he married Kimberly Gesse who survives in Michigan City. William is preceded in death by his mother, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. William's hobbies included scrapping, spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends and collecting antiques and oddities. William will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, located at 613 Washington St., Michigan City, IN 46360 on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
