Janet J. Carroll

Janet J. (Fish) Carroll, age 86, of Rockland, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 18, 1936, to Roscoe and Velma (Kelsey) Fish in Sparta, Wisconsin.
Janet met her future husband, Jimmie Carroll in Colorado Springs while he was in the Army. They were united in marriage three months later on August 18, 1956, in Raton, New Mexico. In 1985, they moved back to Wisconsin and bought a dairy farm. Janet loved raising her family on the farm. She also enjoyed traveling with her family and recently made a trip out West where they made memories that will last a lifetime.
Janet is survived by her children, Richard Carroll of Rockland, WI, Kevin (Chris) Carroll of Casper, WY, Jimmie (Melissa) Carroll Jr., of Rockland, WI, Krista (Darrell) Janzen of Sparta, WI, and Amber (Steve) Christophersen of Sparta, WI, grandchildren, Lori Jo, Tiffany (Mike), David, Jessica, Whitney (Ryan), Cody (Sierra), Adalyn, Alexandria (Andrew), Emma, Isaac, Tatum, Jake, Stacey and Sean, great grandchildren, Braxton, Sidney, Adrian, Tia, Isaiah, Nola, Arlo, Kehlani, Rosita, Ava, Aria, Ana, Kylie, Madi, Scarlet, Dyllen, Violet, Shawn, and Kelcee, sisters-in-law, Ione Fish, Betty Clements and Ellen Wesley, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Velma Fish, her husband, Jimmie Carroll in 2019, two sons, Raymond in 2011 and Brian in 2014, siblings, Harriet (Eldon) Dutton, Marjorie (Robert) Higgins, Donald Fish and Phyllis (Curt) Burnham, and brothers-in-law, Larry Clements and Jim Wesley.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, 4:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 601 W. Montgomery Street, Sparta, WI. Burial will follow in the Angelo Cemetery. Pastor Mike Ohman will officiate. Family and friends are invited for visitation Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 5:00 -7:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Sparta, WI. Visitation will also be held Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. The Torkelson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
