Janet M. Corcillo of Sayreville, peacefully passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 98 years old.

Born in Bremen, Germany to the late Dr. John F. and Leah Mahoney, Janet moved to the Unites States when she was a baby, living in Travis, Staten Island for many years, where she raised her family. After graduating from Notre Dame College in Staten Island, Mrs. Corcillo went on to live in New Mexico and eventually Sayreville, having resided there for more than 30 years. She was employed as a lab assistant for Marine Hospital as well as Presbyterian Hospital in New York City for many years. Janet was a dedicated mother, having taken care of her handicapped daughter before her untimely death at a young age. She later was a loving grandmother who truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Janet is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband John Daniel Corcillo, and her daughter Juliana Corcillo.

Surviving are her loving children and their spouses Gina and Gerard P. McEvoy Jr of Sayreville, Daniel and Gerriane Corcillo of Hamilton, and John Jr and Danielle Corcillo of NY; her dear grandchildren Dr. Juliet Corcillo, Rebecca Corcillo, John Daniel Corcillo III (Chelsea), Gabriel Corcillo, Carl Benfante (Adrianna), Christina Quinlan (Justin), Daniel James, Leah Margaret, and Gerard Peter, III; her great-grandchildren Niah Claire, Marin Grace, Vincent, and Capri; and her brother John F. Mahoney, Jr. of FL.

A funeral mass will take place at 9am on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Moravian Cemetery in Staten Island. Services are under the direction of the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ 08859.
