Janet Lynn Cunniffe, age 74, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Cherry Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation in Westland, Michigan.
Born on September 23, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Nick and Mary (Cree) Marovich. On February 2, 1974 she married John "Pat" Cunniffe in Detroit, Michigan.
Jan was employed with AT&T as a successful Computer Programmer for 27 years until retiring in 2006.
After graduating with honors from Flat Rock High School, Jan earned a bachelor degree in English from Marygrove College. She later returned to college to earn an associates degree in Computer Information Systems. She was a fountain of knowledge about opera, and in her spare time did wonderful needlework and cared for her beloved cats. She was an enthusiastic reader as well, a pastime she and her husband had always shared.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, John Cunniffe.
She is survived by her daughters, Erin Cunniffe and Juliet Cunniffe; her grandchildren, Nicholas Cunniffe, Brandon Cunniffe, and Damien Jones; and her brother, David Marovich.
Visitation will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A service will be held at 4:00 pm.
Rev. Therese Jobe will officiate.
