Janet Louise (Ivory) Davis passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on January 10, 2026 from 10AM until the time of her service at the funeral home.
Jan was born in Lapeer, Michigan on May 7th, 1941 to James Butler Ivory and Bernice Lorene (Kurtz) Ivory. She spent her childhood on a farm in Columbiaville, MI and was proud to be a “farm girl.”She married Lester Davis in Alaska on June 9th, 1962. Jan was a devoted Air Force wife, making homes in such places as Alaska and Germany. Together, Jan and Les raised two sons. Jan enjoyed gardening, bowling with friends, jigsaw puzzles, going for walks, birdwatching, volunteering her time at the Otter Lake VFW Hall, working as a baker at Kroger, and watching her grandchildren grow.
Jan is survived by her husband of 63 years, Les; her sons: Chris Davis and Kevin (Toni) Davis; her beloved grandchildren: Scarlett, Franklin, and Edward; brother-in-law, Walter (Gloria) Davis; and many other much-loved family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents; older sister, Carol Wilson; brother-in-law, James Wilson; twin sister, Joyce Morey; and brother-in-law, Francis Morey.
