Janet M. Diesing, age 83, South Beloit, IL died Thursday June 6, 2024 at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born March 19, 1940 in Boscobel, WI the daughter of Frank and Sarah (Sanders) Finley. Janet was a life- long resident of South Beloit, IL. She married William B. Diesing on August 25, 1962. She was employed in the Automotive Industry as an assembly worker at General Motors in Janesville, WI.
Survivors include her children, Linda Oldenburg (Xray) of South Beloit, IL, LeAnne Hillison of Florida, Terry Oldenburg, Debbie Diesing of Kansas City; step children,Jim (Sharon) Diesing of Holland, MI, Peggy Pankhurst; granddaughters, Kristen Oldenburg (Tony Holum) and their son, Alexander Holum, Nicole Hillison-Hernandez (Julio), Tara Hillison, and her best friend, Nancy Burkheimer. She is further survived by Linda Miller, many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Bruce, brother and sister in law, Bob (Vivian) Finley and her two special boys, Peanut and Teddy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at McCorkle Funeral Home - Rockton Chapel 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow immediately the funeral ceremony at Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, IL. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the family.
The family would like to thank the hospice care, and especially hospice nurse, Tina, administrative nurse, Michelle Polizzi and Chaplain, Derin Fowler for the exceptional care given to Janet and the rest of her family.
