TECUMSEH: Janet Dusseau, age 81, of Tecumseh, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at her home. Janet was born January 11, 1944, to Harold M. and Elizabeth A. (Dubou) Leary. On August 22, 1964, she married Lawrence Dusseau and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2013. She once worked for her parents at Leary's Auto Parts Store, and worked for Carlson's Cars. She was the former owner of Pretty Petal Flower Shop in Petersburg, worked at Wal-Mart in Adrian. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren.
Surviving Janet; are her children, Tammy (Wallace) Poff, Wendy Dusseau, Lawrence (Chris) Dusseau, Dawn (Mike) Kruse, Shane (Taria) Dusseau, and Lance Dusseau; nine grandchildren: Kassandra Salyer, Kelsey Toro, Kurstyn Hensley; Dallas, Caitlyn, Alec, Tatum, Trevor and Clayton; great-grandchildren Landon, Lizzie, Maverick, Walker, Brielle, Kora, and Penelope on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence, 4 brothers, Harold "Keith" Leary, Timothy Leary and in infancy, and brothers, Steven and Ralph.
Visitation for Janet will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 3:00 – 8:00 PM, at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home in Blissfield. Funeral services for Janet will be Monday, May 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Pleasant View Cemetery in Petersburg, Michigan.
Word of comfort to the family may be offered at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. Memorial contributions for Janet may be made to Fresenius Kidney Care in Adrian. The Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
