Janet L. Engleman

Janet L. (Anthony) Engleman, 80 of Laury's Station, PA. passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at her residence. Born August 27, 1943 in Treichler's, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Anthony and the late Grace (Miller) Anthony. She was the wife of the late Barry Engleman, Sr. with whom she shared 36 years of loving marriage.
Janet graduated from LCCC with her degree in Medical Assisting. She then went on to work as a Medical Assistant for a few years. Afterward, she worked for Macungie Elementary School as a Cafeteria Aid for over 10 years. Janet again shifting her working career and started working at Giant, where she worked in the bakery, and the flower department, for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ Laury's Station. In her free time Janet loved crafting. She created beautiful Christmas wreaths, made stained glass pieces, but especially loved using her creativity to form different pieces of art by quilling.
Survivors: daughters, Sylvia C. Greenzweig of Slatington, PA and Fay Ann Schmoyer of Walnutport, PA, sons, Barry R. Engleman, Jr. of Laury's Station, PA and Dwayne Engleman and wife Kerstin of Virginia Beach, VA, sister Dorothy Hosier of Walnutport,PA, 12 grandchildren, and multiple great-grand children. Janet was predeceased by daughter, Tammy L. Keller, and 2 sisters, Pauline, and Lucille.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 6:00PM, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton PA, 18067, the family invites friends and relatives to call from 5:00PM up until the time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family
