She was born on April 22, 1946, in Spooner, Wisconsin, to Warren and Elsie Stellrecht. Janet graduated from Swedish Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse and went on to serve faithfully in the medical field for more than 40 years. She dedicated her career to caring for others in hospitals, nursing homes, and clinical settings. Her heart for service extended beyond her professional work as she also participated in mission trips to Guatemala and Ecuador.
Janet's life was marked by her passion for Christ's saving grace, which she joyfully shared with everyone she encountered-including the staff and residents of the memory care center where she spent her final years. To her family, she was not only a devoted mother but "the best Grandma anyone could ask for," as her grandchildren fondly remember.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodger Erickson of Spooner, WI; her parents, Warren and Elsie Stellrecht; and her brother, Wesley Stellrecht.
Janet is survived by her children: Bradley Kaiser; Alyssa (Eugene) Schreder; and Mollie (Michael) Smith. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Liam Kaiser, Jack Kaiser, Nichole (James) Ledford, Eugene Avery (Elizabeth) Schreder, Mia (Talon) Piwowar, Michael (Kylie) Smith, Benjamin (Mikayla) Smith, and Mallorie (Colton) Best. Her great-grandchildren-Brigette and Rylie Ledford; Joanna, Percy, Elias, and Sylvan Schreder; Louisa and Monty Piwowar; Amelia, Mara, and Jettson Smith; and Malaya Best-brought her immeasurable joy.
She is also survived by her siblings: Wally Stellrecht, Diane (Mary) Stellrecht, Beth (Allan) Lawrence, Jeff (Nancy) Stellrecht, Mark (Laurel) Stellrecht, Mary (Phil) Watkins, Lori (Lyndon) Becker, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 18, from 1:00–3:30 p.m. at the Shell Lake Community Center in Shell Lake, Wisconsin.
We invite family and friends to join us for a message of faith and remembrance at the beginning of the gathering, followed by a time of fellowship.
