Janet Fish Obituary

She was born in Utica, New York, on August 3, 1946, the daughter of Harry and Louise (Warren) Fish. Janet was a graduate of Utica Free Academy, Class of 1963.
Janet worked for some years as a key punch operator and previously served as secretary for Corn Hill Peoples United, Inc. (CHPU) for six years. She also volunteered during high school at Faxton–St. Luke's Hospital and continued throughout her life to give her time to various community agencies.
A member of Grace Church, Janet was also a past member of Calvary Episcopal Church and a friend of the Sisters of St. Margaret. She loved reading and classical music, which brought her great comfort and joy.
Janet is survived by her brother, Paul Fish and his wife, Stacey Harris-Fish; her special cousin, Susanne Boulter of Buffalo; as well as many other beloved cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Peter Fish; and sister, Katherine Dowd.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Ralph Eannace and Rev. Christine Williams-Belt for their kindness and support.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24, at 10:30AM at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Paul, my sincere condolences to you on the loss of your sister.
I have memories of Janet giving me a ride in her Corvair one winter. That little car with the engine humming from the back, pushing us up that steep driveway at your house on Pleasant Street. It has stuck with me all these years.

To Janet´s family, especially Paul,
I was saddened by hearing of Janet´s passing, so very many memories passed through my mind of aloof the quality time the Fishes and Cacketts had, both at church and our family homes in Utica.
May she rest in peace with all of her loved one´s and family.
