Janet is survived by her husband, Pat; two sons, Rob Fortune and wife Jennifer and Brad Fortune and wife Karyn; four grandchildren, Brandon Fortune, Avery Gonzaba and husband Nathan, Brett Fortune, and Alec Fortune; brother, Jackie Thomas and wife Sarah; and numerous family and close friends.
Janet was preceded in death by her mother, Zennuia Haston; and sister, Joyce Flinchbaugh.
Visitation will be held 10:00AM-11:00AM, Saturday, June 17, 2023 at First Church of the Nazarene in Big Spring, TX and the funeral service will begin at 11:00AM with Pastor Peter Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, TX at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet's memory to Silverstone Hospice, 4100 Harry Hines Blvd, Suite 735, Dallas TX 75219, 214-954-7285. Online condolences may be shared at
