A few photos from our Zihuatanejo, Mexico yoga group with Janet, Frank and dedicated instructor Gayna Uranski visting a local school under construction for indigenous and at risk children in 2003. Today the six language Netzahualcóyotl school is 30 years old and serving over 400 students daily, grades K to 12. Also a nice vintage picture of me, yoga fit! And Janet's great mentor and friend Gayna.
Sending love and light to all, from Zihuatanejo. Lisa Martin

Janet was passionate about so many things, especially healing journeys for so many hundreds of people, clients, friends...what a legacy. That is a beautiful photo of her!!
She and Frank introduced me to Zihuatanejo, Mexico when I participated in an annual yoga retreat in February, 1999. Her great teacher is another legend in modern yoga culture. Gayna Uransky, her husband Patrick Woods, and Janet and Frank helped bring yoga practice and education to Zihuatanejo, connecting people from across North America and beyond in this magical place that I now call HOME.
I have some wonderful pictures of us tromping around, landscaping and visting with the kids at the NETZA school for indigenous children that was being built...a project I became crazy for and worked on for over 15 years.
I am completing my memoir, THE ZIHUA DIARIES about this wild, wonderful ride of falling in love with a place called Mexico and with its people...and how it challenged and changed us all. In good ways. Very deep ways.
Janet was a true ZIHUA, the Aztec Nahuatl word for woman. She is in my book. You too, Frank.
It was a great adventure being your neighbors in Lanesville and on Cape Ann...a big piece of my heart is always there.
On! On!
