Janet's favorite time of year was Christmas. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and watching the game show channel. She loved spending time with family, grandchildren and her extended family.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Gay Sr., children; Danny "Carl" (Sara) Gay Jr., Jennifer (Ryan Thompson) Gay, Frederick (Ashley) Gay and Joshua Gay, grandchildren; Daniel Gay, Dominic Gay and Clayton Thompson, sisters; Ruthann (Bob) Bales and Cynthia (Todd) Spillane, brothers; Frederick (Ann) Schmidt, Daniel (Nell) Schmidt, William (Lenora) Schmidt, Timothy (Barb) Schmidt and Kevin Schmidt, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sandra K. Schattler.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 11:00am until 3:00pm in the Eagles - 2645 Howard St., Port Huron.
