Janet was born on January 23, 1954, to Charles and Ruby (Wright) Gillette. Loving mother of Jessamyn I. (Chad) Wilson of McDonald; Justin Ross of Canonsburg; and Emmalyn (Bill) Ross-Radocaj of Peters Township. Dear grandmother of Kyla I. Wilson of McDonald. Cherished sister of Mike Gillette of Lima, Ohio.
Janet graduated from Elida High School in 1972 then went on to receive a Bachelor's in history and political science from Graceland University in 1980. She worked as an assembly line worker for Bayer for many years. Janet enjoyed sewing, spinning, gardening, photography, and weaving. She was very fascinated with her ancestry and had a passion for knowing all the facts of her family lineage. Janet was a loving mother to her 3 children and a wonderful grandmother to her granddaughter Kyla. She had a talent for cooking delicious meals. Janet greatly enjoyed nature and instilled this love of the outdoors within each of her children. She and her family would go on many hikes, recognizing plants and trees and taking time to slow down and appreciate the beauty around them. One of her many strengths was taking her time to appreciate life and enjoy it. Janet found God in nature and made being close to him a central point in her life. Janet will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Arrangements by BEINHAUER, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray PA 15317, 724-941-3211. Family and friends are welcome Wednesday September 27, 2023, 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home Thursday September 28, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3000 Harding Hwy, Lima, OH 45804.
