Janet Patricia (Sharp) Glascoe, 81, of Flowood, Mississippi passed peacefully from this life into the arms of her Lord on March 2, 2024.  She was born in Charleston, Mississippi on May 31st, 1942. She graduated high school from Central High School in Jackson, Mississippi.  She received her college degree from Lee College in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was a lifelong devoted member of the Church of God and was a member of Christway Church in Flowood, Mississippi.

Her joys in life were spending time with her husband, her family, reading, singing, and her nightly telephone calls with her sister.  She was a lifetime faithful member of her church choir (Bailey Avenue Church of God, Lakeover Church of God, Cobblestone Church of God, and Christway Church of God) until her health no longer allowed her to participate.  Just days prior to her passing she attended the Wright Family Reunion where she was happy to see many of her remaining members of the Wright Family.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harold Lee Glascoe, of Flowood, Mississippi; her daughters Deanna Glascoe Powell (Jon) of Brandon, Mississippi, and Debra Glascoe Manning (Charles) of Greenville, Mississippi; her granddaughter Anna Joy Powell of Brandon, Mississippi; her granddaughter Brandi Glascoe and her grandsons Richard Lockhart, Shane Gordon, and Jessie Glascoe, all from Mobile, Alabama; her sister Donnis Sharp Weeks of Haughton, Louisiana; and nephews Chance Weeks (Beth) and Christian Weeks (Tina).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Sharp, and Eris Mae (Wright) Sharp, both of Brandon, Mississippi. She was also preceded in death by her stepson, Harold Lee Glascoe, Jr. (Chuck).

Visitation will be at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, Mississippi, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 1 o’clock p.m., with her funeral service to immediately follow at 2 o’clock p.m.   She will be interred at Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Clinton, Mississippi with the internment service at 3 o’clock p.m.
