Janet L. Gottfried

Janet L. Gottfried , 78, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Friday, September 19, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Janet worked at Fish of Stroh and also worked in the Memorial Coliseum ticket office. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and an avid Komet Hockey fan where she developed life long friendships. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and spending time at her pool. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Eugene Gottfried of Fort Wayne, IN; daughters, Lynne (Doug) Rigler of Fort Wayne, IN and Sheri Pettibone of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Bill (Kathy) Pettibone of Fort Wayne, IN; step daughter, Valerie (Doug) Parson of New Haven, IN; step son, Steve (Laura) Gottfried of New Haven, IN; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brother, William (Wauneta) Perse of Fort Wayne, IN; half sisters, Diane (Chuck) Brant of Fostoria, OH, Kathy (Dick) Gower of Tiffin, OH and Anne Beasley of Marblehead, OH and countless others who called her grandma, and her loving dog Missy. Funeral Service is Tuesday, 2:00 pm, September 30, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Putnam Street with calling one hour prior. Rev. Matthew J. Leffler officiating. Calling will also be Monday, September 29, 2014, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne.
