BALLSTON LAKE Janet E. Houston-Uddin, 63, of Homestead Commons passed away Thursday February 26, 2026 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Yonkers, NY she was the daughter of the late William Boyd Houston, Jr and Sarah Craig Houston. She was educated in Yonkers High and had graduated from Westchester Community College with an associate's degree in Biology, where it led her towards her Radiology degree. Janet was employed with the United States Postal Office worked in Express mail as Data Entry Clerk close to 20 years. Till her calling of being a stay home mother and full time caregiver to her parents. She then moved into her dream house in Ballston Lake in 2003.

Janet was especially devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking and arts and crafts. She was a member of Ballston Center ARP Church in Ballston Spa.

Survivors include her husband Hassan Uddin Jr., her daughters, Lindsay Gray and Sarah Elizabeth Houston-Uddin of Ballston Lake, NY and her brothers William Craig Houston and wife Claudia of New Bern, NC and Gordon Craig Houston of Saratoga Springs, NY. Nieces Shannon Lee Houston-Corona and her husband Alan of Chicago, IL, Amanda Lee Bongioanni and her husband Roberto of Fort Myers, FL great nephews Lucas Antonio Bongioanni of Fort Myers, FL, Connor William Bongioanni

Funeral services will be Thursday at noon at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32) Waterford. Interment will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 am – noon, prior to the funeral service.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to: Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
