Janet Hunnicutt, 84, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Monday, September 22, 2025 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Janet was born on March 17, 1941 in Lenna, Ok., the daughter of Ralph Roscoe and Lola Mae (Parker) Hunnicutt. She graduated from Stidham Public Schools. Janet worked as an x-ray technician at the Eufaula Hospital and as a CMA at the Friendly Manor Nursing Home.
Janet is survived by her sons Anthony Wayne Hanson of North Carolina and Darren Andrew Hanson and wife Cindy of Arkansas; daughters Elwanda Gay Hanson and wife Sandy Smiley of Indiana and Reginna Mescal Hunter and husband Richard of Checotah; brother Robert Green Hunnicutt and wife Judy of Henryetta; grandchildren Jewellia, Candace, Audra, Tyler, Marquia, Michelle, Kelly, Dalton, Roxanne, R.C. and Malita and great grandchildren Willow and Kenny, Hallie, Amberlee, Terah, Harper, Kaydence, Vanessa, Aliyah, Gabriella, Sofia, Jaxsen, Kierstyn and Gunner.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Lola Hunnicutt, her son Scott Hanson in 2012 and her brothers Ralph Jr., William, Sally, Maudie and a great grandson Tylee.
