Janet Ingle

Janet K. Ingle, 81, of Oneida, passed away peacefully at home with family at her side, Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
Janet was born on October 6, 1943, in Kewanee. She was the daughter of Joseph and Catherine June (Crockett) Hand, Sr. She married Louis Richard Ingle on June 10, 1961. Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage. Surviving Janet are, her husband, Louis, at home; her daughters, Debra Treadway of Peoria, Dixie Martinez of Oneida, Sara (Chris) Ingle of Galesburg and Shelly Lytle of Macomb; brother, Jim (Peg) Hand of Osceola; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Catherine Munson, brothers Joseph Hand and John Hand, sister, Rebecca Vigor, half-sisters Beatrice, Helen and Louise, and a grandson, John Miller.
Janet was a graduate of Toulon Township High School. She was a cook for various businesses in the area. Janet enjoyed bowling, quilting and crocheting. Most of all, Janet loved spending time with her family.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Oneida Firehouse. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Oneida are assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
