Janet Ann Kessler, age 77 of Paramus, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Brightview of Paramus. She was born July 25, 1947, in Union City, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Erxmeyer) Kessler. Janet was the last remaining member of the Kessler family tree.
Janet absolutely loved her family and friends most of all. Her career as a Psychiatric nurse wasn't just a job but a passion of hers. She received many awards and accolades in her life. She loved hosting every special occasion for her family, friends, and whoever she could cook for and always went full out. Her love of the Ballet, Jersey shore, Cape May, Disney, Barry Manilow, Broadway shows, of course, the dollar store, and holidays with family always included laughing attacks from some old or new memories. She will always be remembered as a second Mother to her nieces and nephews, always available for a heart to heart or a shoulder to cry on.
Janet is survived by her niece and nephews; John (Holly) Eggert, Cheryl Reynolds, Kyle (Liz) Eggert; her Sister Carol Eggert's husband, John "Jack" Eggert and Great-nieces and nephews, Sierra (Joey) Furer, Devon Reynolds, Caleigh Reynolds, August Eggert, Alexandra Eggert, Lucas Eggert; and Great-niece Lilith Furer and Great-nephew Gabriel Furer.
Family will receive friends on Saturday August 17, 2024 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home Paramus, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. After the Memorial there will be a small ceremony and interment in the Memory Garden at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 233 S. Highwood Ave, Glen Rock, NJ 07452.
