Janet Koerner Obituary
She was born June 20, 1938, in Elgin, the daughter of Wilbur and Alvirda (Stoxen) White. Jan was a member of the 1956 Class of Hampshire High School and was married to Ron Nussbaum from 1958 to 2003. She later married Don Koerner in 2004, and he passed in 2011. Jan worked at Petersen Insurance Agency in Hampshire and after purchasing the agency it became Hampshire Insurance Agency. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Jan loved supporting the athletics of her grandchildren, reading, movies, and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Kent (Kathleen) Nussbaum; grandsons, Kody (Kristin) Nussbaum, Jason (Melissa) Ormond and Harry (Megan) Hergert; granddaughter, Karleen (George) Hergert; and 4 great grandchildren, Sophia Ormond, Brody Nussbaum, Jett Nussbaum and Koen Hergert; and brother, Ronald (Janice) White.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don; grandson, Zachary Nussbaum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jan's name may be directed to the family.
Private services are being held per Jan's wishes.
