Janet Kropsch Obituary

Janet T. Kropsch, 69, of Chandler, AZ passed away on March 2, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Janet was born on January 5, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Bernadine (Donner) Gats and Matthew P. Gats (Gackowski). She was raised in Villa Park, IL with her four older brothers, Robert, Daniel, Matthew Jr. and Joseph. She married Joseph Kropsch in 1969 and soon after moved to AZ with their three daughters. Janet was an energetic wife and mother volunteering at the girl's schools and church. She was the owner of Jan's Tri-City Flower Shop and J's Florist in Chandler, AZ. She loved dancing, crafting and bowling. Her blue eyes and memory will live in our hearts forever. She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Kropsch; three daughters, Terry (Chuck) Minniti-Wright, Karen (Rich) Foote, Kris (Mike) Ybarra; eight grandchildren; brother, Joseph P. Gats of Livermore Falls, ME; sisters-in-law Ruth Gats of Portsmouth, NH, Gloria Kohs of Mesa, AZ; brother-in-law Ted (Helen) Kropsch of Schaumburg, IL; many extended family members and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 9 a.m.-11 a.m. and the service will follow at 11 a.m. Both the visitation and service will be at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E.
