Janet "Jan" Kutch of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on October 18, 2025, in Mountain Home, at the age of 87. She was born on January 31, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Roy T. and Esther Schar Jorgensen.
Jan graduated in 1955 from Maine Township High School in Des Plaines, Illinois. She married Kenneth Smith Kutch on November 22, 1972, in Denver, Colorado, and worked in accounting for the telephone industry. In 2006, Janet moved from Sarasota, Florida, to Mountain Home, where she made her home for the past 19 years.
She was a member of the Elks Lodge of Mountain Home and the Wednesday Night Dinner Group. Jan enjoyed bowling and golfing, but her greatest joy was going on cruises-especially those that included a little gambling.
Janet is survived by her two daughters; three stepchildren; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Judith Schulze and great-grandchild, Hayle Kelsey.
A Celebration of Life for Jan will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Heather Marsalis, Celebrant, officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or the Humane Society.
