Janet Lynne Lakner

Janet Lynne Lakner, 71, of Jackson passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at her home in St. Louis.

She was born June 3, 1954, in Jackson, Missouri, to Robert and Phyllis Koeppel Vinyard. She and Dennis Lakner were married on September 8, 1984, in Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri.

Janet was a 1972 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Sedilia. She worked for the Children’s Therapy Center there until she moved to St. Louis and was employed by ConAgra. When the family moved to the Jackson area, she was employed as an administrative assistant at SEMO Music Academy.

Loving survivors include her husband, Dennis of St. Louis; a daughter, Katie Jo Lakner and her boyfriend, Christoph Klingebiel of Benediktbeuern, Germany; a sister Mary Vinyard of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Arrangements are Saturday, January 10, 2026, as follows:

Visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, with Parish Prayers at 12 p.m. Father Randolph Tochtrop will celebrate Funeral Mass at 1 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
