Janet M. Lanni

Janet M. (Picotte) Lanni 75, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on June 16, 2025. She was the loving wife of Albert Lanni whom she shared 52 years of marriage. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Oleska) Picotte.
Janet worked at Hospital Trust Bank in the Consumer Credit Department. She worked for the Town of West Warwick for 20 years servicing in various departments throughout the years. Janet owned and operated Twins Dance Studio for many years.
She was an avid golfer playing on a league at Foster Country Club, and in Florida at Royal Wood Golf and Country Club. At Royal Wood Janet ran one of the more memorable Women's Club Championship Tournaments.
Janet was a kind and loving person, always caring and compassionate about others feelings and never putting herself first. She had a beautiful smile that would light up a room, always with a warm and welcoming personality wherever she went.
Janet was a dedicated and beloved mother and grandmother, what she enjoyed most was being around her daughters, grandchildren, loved ones, and her friends.
Janet was the loving mother of Tricia Murphy and her husband Gerald, and Jill Lusignan. She was the adoring grandmother of Brayden and Natalie Murphy and Hope Lusignan. She was the sister of Edward Picotte, and her twin sister the late Judy Pacheco. She was the sister-in-law of Edmond Pacheco.
Visitation will be held Thursday July 10, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. In the Carpenter – Jenks Funereal Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John & Paul Church, 341 S Main St, Coventry. Burial will be private.
