Janet Barbara Luparello

Janet B. Luparello passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the age of 81. Janet was born on October 29, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to Frederick and Ethel Saunders. As a youngster, she loved swimming at Gerritsen Beach with her siblings. She graduated from Sheepshead Bay High School in 1961. She married Anthony Luparello on May 18, 1963 and they lived in Brooklyn, New York where they had two children, Karen and Anthony. In 1978, they moved to Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey where Janet worked as a receptionist at the Ho-Ho-Kus Borough Hall. She spent the last several years of her life being cared for at home by her loving husband and caregivers, Jean and Angie.
A beloved wife, loving mother and grandmother, Janet will be dearly missed and will live in our hearts forever. She was married to her loving husband Anthony for 61 years. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Karen (David) and her son Anthony. Her grandchildren Anthony, Toni-Marie, Nicole, and Christian were the light of her life. Janet treasured her meaningful relationship with her "Sissie" Nancy Knoke (Kenneth) and her brother, the late Frederick Saunders (Colleen). She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and a close friend to many.
There will be a private burial at the Maryrest Cemetery and Mausoleum in Mahwah, New Jersey with a Celebration of Life to be scheduled in the future.
