Janet M. Miller, 81, of West Mansfield, passed away at 4:12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Ada, Ohio on Tuesday, August 19, 1941, a daughter of the late William Eugene and Alvena Winona (Rostorfer) Kirtley Sr.
On September 26, 1959, Janet married Doit Edwin "Pete" Miller and he preceded her in death on September 13, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rod Miller; a grandson, Seth Miller; a brother, William E. Kirtley, and three brothers-in-law, Ken Hackworth, Sr., Paul Ceman, and Bob Miller.
Janet is survived by two children, Angie (Tony) Stratton, and Jeff (Mary) Miller; a daughter-in-law, Becky Miller; six grandchildren, Alex (Tiffany) Miller, Jason (Michelle) Stratton, Heather (Josh) Deans, Erin (Brad) Davis, Brenda (Steve) McCoy, and Luke (Nicole) Miller; seven great grandchildren, Boden Miller, Owen Deans, Lilliana Davis, Lucas Davis, Eleanor Miller, Annabelle Miller, Michael Miller, plus one more Miller baby on the way; two siblings, Harry (Nancy) Kirtley, and Diana Hackworth; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pat Ceman, Marilyn Miller, Carol & Charolet Losey, Jim & Linda Miller, and Butch & Peg Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
Janet had worked on the family dairy farm and retired from TRC. She attended North Greenfield United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, watching and feeding birds. Janet most especially adored her grandchildren.
Pastor Linda Dulin-Moore will officiate a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at North Greenfield United Methodist Church, 9609 County Road 2, West Mansfield. Burial will be in North Greenfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
